This is a song for shattered red city streets and the lights
that buzz
that is my song off key and out of song and change
how apporitae for our city of the dead
thaT our busses our trolley commuters
our cannot polluters
is powerd by the dead
the bones of ancestors
old graveyards and deads shattered
by the progress
our city our bright city
has no place for real history
and our city founders were also the founders of genocide
and apptociation taking the voice not only from
the native but the french the catholic as well
And it is not mary thats full of grace but this city
red poppies on display on our lapels
a window display in between halloween and christmas
this vacant plastic symbol
is what it is
for we glorify the young who went to an ideal
and lost there brothers there sisters a whole generation upon generation poppy upon poppy pf people and all we do is fix our eyes upon the easy history
but the living history the grey veterans
the people who still live get lost
that is the real meaning of the red
money for those who fall between the cracks
and the white is the same it is not peace
is for the cilivilians and those that had an ideal
and were lost
this is the city of the lost and dead in who dide the eyes
there are those die for an ideal
and what do i dop but write and live and is that enough
for say were are for peace but there is no peace for this is a world that is clamouring and mad
and not matter how we have our just causes our stand for ideal and the right to have a life that is so spoon fed that we actually can choosee to be vegatarian
while for some there is no right it is food or no food
shelter or no shelter
we wlak through the city of the ghosts and there is peace only false monuments
the flowers boomed red becasue a gneration did not have a choice
maybe for once this gneration will take a stand
and we are faloing slow and drowning.
